The Can Do Committee (also known as the CDC) is
McHenry Area Youth Commission's Youth Advisory
Committee. Now in its second year, the group
consists of Middle School and early High School
students that have been involved in our programs in
the past. These students advise M.A.Y.C. on new or
current programs, and are positive drug-free role
models for their peers. They are also actively
involved in service projects that promote a healthy,
drug-free community. Past service projects have
included an anti-bullying presentation to students at
a local elementary school and cleaning up an area
neighborhood.
This years committee members attend school at
Johnsburg Junior High, McHenry High School,
McHenry Middle School, Parkland, and Stanton.
Each of the members has shown strong leadership
skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help their
community stay healthy and drug-free. In short,
they are amazing!
