Red Ribbon Week
My Life . My Choice. Drug Free

Enrique "Kiki" Camarena joined the Drug Enforcement
Administration in 1974.  Kiki confiscated hundreds of thousands
of pounds of marijuana and cocaine while
investigating a drug scam in Mexico.
Unfortunately, Kiki lost his life in 1985,
when drug traffickers kidnapped, tortured
and killed him.
Kiki was a believer that one person
could make a difference, and soon after his
death friends and family turned tragedy into hope by
pledging to lead drug free lives in his honor.  Soon after, a
National Campaign, Red Ribbon Week was established.  Now
every year millions of Americans celebrate Red Ribbon Week
to remember KiKi and to take a stand, just as he did, against
drugs.

Wear your Red Ribbon proudly during October 17-25, to show
your support and a commitment to a drug free lifestyle.
